20th Anniversary Celebration
Twenty years after its inaugural performance with the California Guitar Trio, NCDE presents works both old and new in an evening of whimsy, drama, reflection, and exuberance. The first half revisits works from that first performance and across the years, including the quirky and unexpected props that have become a signature of the company, while the second half breaks new ground with the extended Chromatic Suite, an intricate puzzle of geometry, time, and mechanics. Suitable for all ages and filled with playful moments, the program celebrates dance as a vehicle to convey the joy of living as well as the tenderness of memory.

Props have been part of the company's vocabulary since the beginning — rockers, bookcases, hoop skirts, a weather balloon. Several of them come back for this one.

Four short films, free, and a tote bag.
In August 2026 the company heads to Marin County, California, to film a new video work. Until then, four short films are free to watch: Migrations, filmed in 2025 on the beach at Rio del Mar, California; where land and water meet and redwoods, both from 2024; and Altitude : Latitude, filmed high in the Rockies at Alma, Colorado, in 2023.
Performance video and tote bags from the Gallery concert of March 2024 are for sale in the store, and every purchase pays for the next piece of work.
Natasha Carlitz Dance Ensemble’s Aqua Terra welcomed audiences into a theater alive with the calming sounds of waves, wind, and chirping birds. Projected onto the stage were slow moving illustrations of various nature scenes: trees, fields of wheat, waterfalls, beaches.
